made you look. now since i got no replies when i posted this straightforwardly...

I heard Cornell has a pretty good architecture program, and I was wondering what it would take to get in (hopefully with some kind of scholarship)

I've a 3.1 GPA and a 30 on my ACT, but I'm only 16 so I've got 2 more years to improve and make up my mind.

Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm fresh out of high school. While I paid my tuition fees already, it's now the middle of July and I need to MOVE to go to college. I have no money for that and there's no job offers coming to me. My mother also hasn't completed my OSAP application yet. Would it be better for me to just give up at this point?

I come from a single parent family with 3 other siblings, so it's not like just because I want to go that my mother is going to say "Oh great, I'll give you some money to get you out there and on your way to school." No, she will say "You were irrisponsible and didn't get a job so you're not going." Even though I handed out resumes and tried to get a job!!!

She already said that if I don't go to school that I can't live at home any more either as well. Does this mean that I should just give up on going to college for a couple of years?

I'm about to be off to Community College, but after I get my basics done, I want to trasfer to a four-year university. Does anybody know any websites on transfering? Or do you have any info. on transfering and what I need to transfer?

I will apply to graduate school and i am collecting letters of recommendation but teachers give it to me in sealed envelopes so there is no way for me to see what they are saying about me. If i open the envelop and send the letter with a new envelop -after i read it- will they not accept my later? Isn't there a way?

I have a 3.7 weighted GPA, taken several (6) AP classes, been involved in many clubs as a member and as an executive board member, received a 2100 on my SATs, 790 SATII Language, have 25 hours of community service, and won several awards nationally, statewide, and regionally. I have 3 kids and live w/ my b/f. His parents want me to quit. It's always been my life long dream to go back to school and now that i am bills just keep coming out of the woodwork. I've been looking for a partime job but there aren't any out there right now. Sometimes I just want to pack up and leave and get things straightened out and come back for my kids. Problem is I love my kids too much to do that. Please, kind words would be apprieciated!
