made you look. now since i got no replies when i posted this straightforwardly...

I heard Cornell has a pretty good architecture program, and I was wondering what it would take to get in (hopefully with some kind of scholarship)

I've a 3.1 GPA and a 30 on my ACT, but I'm only 16 so I've got 2 more years to improve and make up my mind.

Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!

In keeping with Ezra Cornell's vision, the university practices "need-blind" admission. Your ability to pay has no bearing on whether you are admitted. For eligible students, Cornell tries to provide a predictable aid package throughout the years of college.

While admission to Cornell is competitive, Cornell's admissions personnel vigorously support equality of opportunity. What they're looking for beyond the numbers is intellectual potential, strength of character, and love of learning. More specific requirements of the colleges are in the Web sites listed below.

Cornell is one of the best schools in the country. US News ranks it 13th. It will be hard for you to get in without some improvement. But it won't be impossible. You will certainly be able to get into a goos school.

You really only have a year left -- since you will be applying before your Senior year grades are in. To get into a school like Cornell, you need killer grades in your Junior year.

Cornell will probably want SAT scores. A 30 in the ACT corresponds to a decent SAT score (about 1300). That would put you above average at most colleges, but only puts you in about the 25th percentile in terms of Cornell students. The good news here is that if you can improve by another 100 points or so, you will be near the mean.

Good luck

Your ACT is great, your GPA needs to be a little higher and you will need some extra cirriculars. Make sure you have plenty of math and science classes and AP would definitely be a plus.
I don't know the exact requirements for Cornell (just look it up on the website) but with your test scores and lots of activities your GPA would be the only thing holding you back. Class rank is also very important. Good luck.

by the way that is not the way to get good answers...
