Definitely! The two fields may seem unrelated now, but you never know who your double major might impress. I got degrees in both Biology and English, and everyone told me I was crazy because they were "unrelated," but it's really opened up alot of doors for me. The thing about college is that while it's true you're trying to prepare for a career, you're also just learning about things that interest you, so take advantage of the education, go for it! (It will be hard work though!!!)

It really depends on your college how easy it is to double major in those two particular fields. Look up the exact requirements for your majors (should be online, with the Registrar or something) and see how well you can fit all the classes into the time period that you want (I assume 4 years).

Also, make sure that you'll still have enough time to take some classes outside of your majors. College is a great time to learn about all types of things. If it seems like it's too much of a strain to do both majors (again, I don't know your exact school's requirements), then maybe consider minoring in one.

Besides, it seems to me that a lot of people get very good jobs in fields outside of their majors. Also remember that you can get a lot of experience in either field (esp. in college, lots of sports and political opportunities!) that will be useful on a resume. Do what you love to do, even if it's not an actual major of yours.

In some cases, yes, but a degree in Film Studies in addition to a degree in PoliSci isn't likely to do you any favors. It'll be a waste of time and money.

Education is a good thing. If you have the time and the money, then go for it!

I don't think that a degree in Poli Sci will benefit you in Sport Management, or visa versa, but it will make you smarter and diverse.

And, if you find you don't like your future job in one field, you will have another field to try.

Have a Nice Day!

Yea i think its a great idea. First when you do graduate you will have experience in both fields and you probably wont have a hard time finding a job. At least you have two different types of jobs you could go after

I would definitely give it a shot - both of those degrees are somewhat common, so you might want to give yourself whatever boost you can. It definitely can't hurt.

The more majors you have, the better ;). They will open more doors for you and the more qualified you will be.
