I drop out of my first year at my university, because I didn't want to study what I was. I have always like animals so, I want to become a vet. The problem is that I don't wan't to leave for the US (I live in Puerto Rico) what can I study that would make entering a vet school later easier.

I have been in college 4 WAY longer than is usual & need about 1 yr left to graduate. I have been struggling academically mostly because of my illness--have dropped numerous classes, gotten many incompletes--& my financial aid has just terminated. I need to file an appeal to request an extension of financial aid, & will get documentation from clinicians, but wonder if it is wise to take some time off (1 yr?) & work on my health & academic weaknesses (extreme perfectionism, procrastination, difficulty writing) & then return. Some warn that I won't go back, that I'm so close to done, & that it'll be harder to return when my community of friends will be gone. (My isolation problems have not helped.) I KNOW I will finish, though. Should I just push thru this last yr+, w/2 classes a term & not work anymore, & finally graduate? Or take time off & return renewed? How do I know 4 sure if I'm ready to return? I really want 2 end school w/better grades, & be ready 4 grad schl. Am unfocused now.

I've always loved writing and reporting on current event. Politics are currently what I'm interested in. I want to learn more on how the system works so when I step into the real world I'll know how to deal with it. What college whould help me the most? Are any overseas?

Im 20 & tired of living with my parents-- I am ready to move out, but where should I move? I live in a small town near Seattle, and Im tired of the whole Seattle area. My original plan was to move near the college I would attend, (either in CA or NY) but since my parents can't afford it they basically just say tough luck. I am tired of this & want to prove to them I can do it myself. What should I do, as I do want to go to college but how can I work and go to school and pay for housing on my own?

I'm a Biomedical Engineering PhD student, originally from Hong Kong. But my Mom was from Thailand, and I have a lot of relatives (her side) and my sister there. Would be intereted to know more about Biomedical Engineering in Thailand. Of course, if you are from this field, or know someone from this field, would love to be friends. Thanks.

I am still deciding whether to study architecture or biochemistry. I already studied one year of architecture and just recentally changed to biochem. I changed to biochemistry because I heard that a lot of architects have stresssful lifesyles, such as dealing with unhappy clients, starting a firm, getting drawings approved by the city, getting things patented, and working on multiple projects with deadlines. I'm not complaining, I just feel that being an architect will prohibit me from having an ordinary social life. I'm also crazy about science, but these two things are hand and hand. My question is throughout an architect's career, what are they most likely going to design? Rooms and houses? have multiple professors that became teachers because they couldn't deal with the life as an architect.

I have 8 classes left until graduation. I'm considering doubling up and taking all 8 in just 1 semester. But I'm going to start working again the same time classes start, you think it'd be too much to handle? I can separate the 8 classes over 2 semesters and still mantain full-time status with at least 4 classes per semester. Do you think I should take all 8 classes and work full-time in one semester? Or should I spread it out over 2 semesters and not overdo it? Opinions or personal experience...
