Do what you want, and what you will enjoy doing for forty years. Don't let your parents tell you what you are going to do with your life, because its your life. Personally, I would pick a pilot (I actually want to be a pilot too), but again, its totally up to you, what you would enjoy the most. Don't waste your time and money going to college in an engineering program if thats not what you want to do.

I'm an engineer (so's my husband). It's OK and I really enjoy my job. We have friends who are commercial pilots who also got engineering degrees. They were both officers in the Air Force. If you go to a good engineering college - look into the Air Force ROTC program. Then, you MIGHT get your pilot lessons paid for by Uncle Sam. It is very competitive though.

A commercial pilot is a better profession.

Dear Friend,

Engineering is not as cool as a lot of people think. It is a very hard major. If you plan to go into engineeing, I will tell you the next four years of your life will be 24/7 dedicate to school work......
