Ok Im moving back home to arizona and Im wanting to attend UTI. The automotive school and I have a car payment of 367 a month and I was wanting to know if there are any school loans out there that you can combine your auto loan and school loan. My school will cost around 17000 to23000 and my pay off on my suv is 14900 left. And if I was able to accomplish this I would be able to consentrate on school instead of worrying about bills and just work part time. If anyone out there can help me I would greatly appreciate the help thank you...

I am currently working for full time. May 31th will be my last day at work. And i'm moving to another city for school.

I will be working but it will be only a part time. And I'm planning to get financial aid for my tuition. I've been planning this for few months now but part-time job wouldn't pay all my monthly expenses.

I want to know if there is any financial aid that supports personal living cost. My salary right now is 30,000.00 a year. Since I have to get financial aid by April this year. I have to summit my income tax from 2006. If there is personal living support aid, can I still apply for it with 30,000 income?

And i'm 27 so I guess I can apply it without putting my parents name....right?

Please help.

I am 20 and currently living in my parents house hold. The last time I applied for financial aid, when I was 18, my only options were student loans. I was told that this was because of my parents income, which is roughly $75,000 a year. My parents cannot afford to help me pay for school, they have several bills, and money is tight around here as is. I have a job making $7.50 an hour. Is there a way I can get more aid? Or is this just a flaw in FAFSA. Do they have to have my parents income if I'm 20? Would it help if I paid rent? I appreciate any answers. Thank you.

I'm having financial issues which causes me to payoff my loan on time and need assistance in contacting a grant specialist who can help me.

I've attempted a few times (1 year in jr), for the FAFSA. I always get turned down. I don't live at home, I live with my grandma, & I work part time to get me through. My parents can't claim me anylonger on their taxes, so I should qualify.... Any input would help me understand why or how I can qualify.

So Sallie Mae loans and Direct loans, I want to consolidate, lower my payment, etc. Once I do that, do they still have options for deferrment, such as lack of income, going back to school, whatever?

ok..
even though...

-i dont live with my parents & havent in over 2 years
&
-i recieve no support from them

according to FASFA (free application for federal student aide...aka.. financial aid)

i am still a dependant of my parents b/c im:

1. not married
2. not a ward of the court/state
3. parents arent dead
4. not 24 or older
5. not working on a masters degree
6. dont have kids
7. have not served for the armed forces.

It's such bullshit. so they are basically telling me that the fact that i live on my own & support myself is my own problem because i should be with my parents & supported by them until im 24 or married. you know.. i wish i did but unfortunately for me - my family doesnt want kids in their households anymore.

if i dont get financial aid - ill never go to school. :(
i cant afford it and no one will help me.

ideas? encouragement?

I am a college student and I plan on taking out a student loan. My boyfriend and I (who I've been w/ for 5 years and have a child with) are going to use the money to put a down payment on a house. I was just wondering if there was any kind of documentation I can have him sign saying that he was involved or something.

Please no criticism, I've thought this through and plan on doing it, I'm only 2 years away from completing my nursing degree so I'm not worried about being able to pay it back, I was just wondering in the event that I ever needed it if there was a way document his involvement so if something ever did happen between us, he would have to repay me. (He's not in college, so he can't take out one himself)

Thanks

I make $30K. His med school tuition is almost $50K a year. How much will the government mandate that I can afford to pay when we are married, thus giving him less loan money each year due to my income. Will my income even be taken into account when figuring out how much loan money he is allowed to take out each year?

I am a 27 year old single mom of two planning to go to college (finally) ten years after high school. A co-worker told me that I wouldn't get much financial aid because I had waited so long. Is that true? I'm also curious as to whether my SAT score will affect the amount of aid I receive (positively or negatively).

My boyfriend of 4 years is finishing his 2nd year of medical school. We would like to get married in the next year or 2. How can we afford his schooling when he has no income (since he's a student) and I only make $30K a year. He is under the impression that we will be told that we could afford almost $10K of medical school based off of my salary and still be able to pay the living expenses of us both. Will I really be told that?! That is ridiculous!

I've already applied and been accepted to my first choice school. I got my financial aid award letter but they need some verification. I was wondering if anyone knew if they really find if you do end up filing your taxes even if your not required to and you dont much back? I have a feeling if i do tell them i file my taxes, even though i'm getting a little more than 100 back, that they'll lower my aid and i wont be able to afford that school.
