Evening,
Shorten life story: I have no children and currently not working at this time. I am attending local Community College, had my credits audited and able to graduate while waiting for spot in the Nursing program (a.s. degree).
I don't have the money, spouse or parental financial support to attend 4yr school ( get student loans exceding 25k over 2 semesters)!!!

Total credits earned 73: attempted 80cr, was told by financial aid office I will max out at 90 credits= no more aid.

This program, I need to complete 6 nursing classes totaling less than 30 credits for A.S. degree Nursing.
Where do I begin mining for scholarships or avenues for funds to attend and complete my education?

A friend recently told me of a person he knows that receives $26,000 per semester from the federal government in student loans. I am thinking about going to school full time, but need extra income. Would financial aid be able to sufficiently cover my living expenses and school as well? I have an apartment and all of the costs associated with that.

I'm looking for a scholarship that would be easy to get but that not very many people know about. I am a senior this year, 3.92 GPA, 29 ACT, tons of extracurriculars, officer in many clubs, involved in community service: including youth city council and tutoring disadvantaged children. If anyone has any good ideas please let me know!

Ive currently taken a semester off of college, and because of that my parents are not going to pay for my school anymore. I'm living at home now - working full time, paying health insurance, rent (my lease isnt up yet @ school) and my car payment. When i go back to school I will still have all of these expenses, plus 12 credit hours - and i really want to start back in the summer. How do I go about getting a student loan? Which banks have the lowest interest rates? Are all student loans the type that you don't pay back until you finish school? And Can i use these loans to help pay for my rent and such? Final question - lol - can someone help me figure this out before my May semester starts?!

My husband's student loans are going to end up costing us $133,000! We only took out $48,000! How the heck does this work? And is there any way to reduce our payment by consolidating?? We're with Sallie Mae and I really think they suck!

I appiled for two schools and I was so excited I registered for classes for one. When I found out I would not be able to pay tuition I decided to attend a community college. I am still a student there.

I looked on my credit report and the school I never attended is trying to make me pay for tuition for that semester. Can they do that even if I have proof that I went to another school that same semester? I can't attend two schools at one.
