Each student will vary in the amount of financial aid they receive. You can always apply for scholarships to get that tuition balance down. Your parents have a right to be worried. It's their name on your student loan. My son't tuition for 12 months is going to be almost $38,000. Our payment will cause us to hold off on buying a house, so we parents have that right. If you drop out after a certain time, we still have to pay that loan. And if you get a student signature loan and stop making payments, your parents will have to pay. Find out all the information you can get on scholarships and start applying once you choose what school is best for you. Your parents will greatly appreciate you showing responsibility in trying to help out with that balance.

You have to apply to the schools to find out. The only people who can tell you how much aid a college can give you is that college!
