Hi Im going back to school online this month, i am receiving a goverment loan , 2 of them plus a pell grant, all my pell is going towards tuition also, I was wondering if anyone new of any other type of grant or loan that you dont have to have perfect credit for , that i can get to help with living expenses, Im 33 and a mom heading back to school, thought someone out there mite know of something that can help,,,,much appreciated,,thanks,,,,

I am interested to have the names of genuine institutions in India or USA, who grant scholarship for post graduation abroad, basically in US. There are certain scam sites who promise scholarship, but in reality they are fake instituions.

I'm really concerned about finacial aid! I was counting on the HOPE grant but I found out today that this school doesn't do the HOPE grant. I did my fafsa app in August and was deemed as eligible as a person can be. Will the pell grant cover my expenses(about 1,500/semester) Also does anyone know about the assistance program for people who are willing to commit to teaching in the GA. public school system? I am going to be an elementary school teacher and I'm Minoring in Math. I was so happy about my acceptance; now I'm freaking about how to pay for it! I am going in as a freshmen at age 42. I have an awful academic past( recovering alcoholic) but I am determined to suceed with Honors this time! Can anybody ease my mind?

We don't have any money saved up and I'm a single mom. Is there anything he can do to get help. He really wants to go on to school. I have two other children also that may want to go . One is in 10th and the other is in 7th.

I have received a pell grant for cosmetology school, only to find out that the school is not doing much teaching, yet giving the students hours, even when the students are not attending in order for the school to continue receiving pell grant monies. I attended this school for 2 weeks, yet until just recently, (months later), the instructor has given me a minimum of hours so they can still get pell grant money from the government. I would like to report this, as I know it will affect future approval for a pell grant, should I decide to enroll in another school. Can someone give me an address as to where I can report this school?

Well... this is a little complicated, but only slightly. I have just recieved my GED Certificate in San Diego, California. I'm already late in enrolling in college (i'm planning on going to Southwestern Community College,) I want to get started A.S.A.P. and lastly I just don't want to waste any time waiting for the next siemester... So I thought carefully, and I really wouldn't mind paying for the classes (with a loan first of course) I would take now (its worth it to get ahead) then i'll apply for aid and all that good stuff next siemester.. Basically... Where can I get a competitive loan? Salle Mae?

I am scheduled to graduate next fall with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Political Science. I have a 3.8GPA with an LSAT score of 174.

Do colleges award scholarships to those wanting to attend their law school programs (my top three choices are Michigan, Harvard, and Yale)? If so what are my chances of receiving one and what should I do to go about applying for one?

I'm about to get sick,i have a daughter who is a freshman in college and i know that things can get expensive.She has gotten the financial aids that she qualifies for,but she is living on campus and needs more money for other things.I don't make a lot of money or does her mother.I can't afford to pay back any loans at this time and i don't want to get into that type of debt right now.Can i as a parent apply for monies that i don't have to pay back for my daughters education?I have a company calling me saying that they can secure a grant for my daughter for a fee of $449.I don't want my daughter to have to leave college,so can someone give me some direct sources to appy to that can help us?

I did my high school exams in 1999 and passed well ie got a B+ mean grade. I was called for a degree course at the University of Nairobi but due to lack of funds, I could not take the offer. I opted for college and have done accounting course but have never secured a good job to enable me pay for my degree. I have searched for scholarships in the ministry of education but failed for nobody responded to my requests. I have gone to the offices concerned but never found the officers in charge. I desperately need a degree to secure a job and be helpful to humanity.

I owe a student loan, everytime I claim my taxes it gets taken away and put towards my loan which is in default, ok, that;s fine... But my question is why don't I recieve a statement informing me that this money has been applied to the loan and why can't I be sent a statement that reflects how much was applied and my balance before and after? It seems like they take my money and my loan never decreases! I don't even see a letter or a call telling me where this money goes!

As long as I remain in good academic standing at my school, how long can I receive the Pell Grant for? Is there a limit in years, semesters, credit hours, or dollar amount of how much the government will pay? Thanks for your help!

o.k I graduated from ITT tech in the year 2004 - o.k i got a Government Loan and i'm doing my monthy payment as the contract was signed. BUT 10 month ago I receive a letter From X company telling me that i had to pay $750. I called them and they told me that it was something i did not pay the School while i was there. so i talk to a representative and he after we talk he said o.k I'm gonna reduce the amount by $500 and because I though it was true i paid the amount... o.k today I receive a letter telling me that i own $263 because of the School and i'm in collection huh IS THET REALLY TRUE because i'm not sure.. I called and the Lady told me that i have to pay it. I don't wanto to. I told the lady i was going to investigate. Does anybody HERE HAS experienced something like this??

my sisters school needs help with their band booster program,the school is about to lose their music department.the hotel that adopted the school donated some instruments back in 1992 but its been a while they are trying to get the help from parents but its not enough the teachers are buying items out of their own pockets while they are so under paid the government is a waste in it self now they are using scrap parts which is like taking parts to make one instrument how sad does any school out there want to help this school its real bad students have to share in groups uhhh does anybody have any old instruments laying around that these kids can use please please dont let these kids lose music the school name is IVAVANA EUDORA KEAN HIGH SCHOOL in st thomas usvi i dont know the number but use the operator this is real call the school to help you dont have to answer me back i am just a concerned parent that wants to help!
