So my Stafford loans were consolidated before July 1 and I got the 4.75% for my new loan. This consolidated loan totals $19,000. But I have nearly $60,000 in Sallie Mae loan debt. Am I able to consolidate those loans after already consolidating my Stafford loans? Is there some type of rule restricting this or do I have to wait a certain amount of time before consolidating again? It's because the rates on the Sallie Mae loans are ridiculously high, each being over 12%. I want to consolidate those Sallie Mae loans with my already consolidated loan to get a lower rate across what amounts to nearly $80,000 in debt. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

In my very unfortunate situation where I may have really run out of possible co-signers, SallieMae has offered me a loan but the interest rate is rather high. I just want to know if I do accept this loan, how can I deal with it later? Would it be making interest-only payments, or possibly some way to consolidate it w/ another loan early-on or what.

The sad thing is that all I need is < $5k.

I am a Filipino. I have a degree in Business Administration and another in Law. I am interested in pursuing a Master's degree in Law. I am aware that it can be very expensive in America. What do I have to do to qualify for a scholarship? How can the expenses be made affordable?

I am 46. Due to health issues, haven't been able to secure employment, & have absolutely no money for schooling.
I do have an associate degree (Commercial Art), but need to go back to school to learn marketable skills - I'm thinking something in the health field.
Does anyone know how one could go back to school if you're basically totally without the financial means?
Please, only serious, mature answers.
Thanks for any help.
