Why did you enroll in that course in the first place if you hate it? You can just continue it or just back out and choose a course you like...

If you hate your course, try transferring to another course. If it's in the middle of the semester, just finish the subjects you have and be sure to pass or else it will just ruin your chances of enrolling in another college or another course. Or if you hate studying for a while, try to find a part-time job or a full time job where you can earn and learn a few things at the same time. Just be productive while you are still deciding about the path you want to take.

Are you talking about one course or your overall Major? If it is your major, how close are you to graduation? Would changing to a different major basically mean starting over?

If you are really close to graduation, I would say suck it up and get the degree. Fact is most companies could care less what your degree is in, the only want to know if you have one. Unless..what you really want to do is something like teach or psychiatry, which requires a specific degree. In that case, if you really hate business, cut your ties now and start on the new course.

If you're aged 13-19 go and see your local Connexions adviser. They can give you career/finance advice: www.connexions.gov.uk.
Alternatively your college should also have a careers adviser who would be able to see if there are any other courses you can transfer onto and what your options are depedning on what career you have in mind. They should see all students 16+ regardless of age.

Take a bunch of courses that you didn't think you'd like and see what happens. Try a science, history, psychology. I was in the same situation when I was in college. Tried a few and then made my mind up. Hope this helps.

Hi,

You need to figure out what it is you hate about your current course and make sure its excluded from your next choice.

There is no harm in changing for the right reason.

However, its impossible for this forum to recommend a change without knowing what your driving values are.

So early on in the year you should be able to change course. You need to think why you chose this course you could try talking to a carreer advisor and see if there is anything tht would suit you more.

First you shouldn't enrol on that course. Now that you have enrolled, try simplify your coursework as much as possible. Make it become easier and interesting. Be more in touch withyour mates who like the subject.Otherwise, drop the course and enrol on another one.
