Financial Aid

I go to college full time, but want to drop a few classes because my schedule is too hectic. If I did, I would then be considered a part time student....but I'm on financial aid and I know it would affect that. So what exactly would happen?

I have been letting my father use my debit card, and now he's got me into debt. I should have never let him use it in the first place, but since it was his money going in and out, I saw no issue. To begin with.

I've not had access to my own bank account for months. Nor a chequebook, or any funds. The middle of September I said "18th of October, the account is closing."

I didn't know he was in so much debt. He didn't tell me anything, even though everything he does is legally in my name.

I want to close the account now; but I promised him the 18th to give him enough time to sort out direct debit transfers and whatnot. Now I know what trouble he's in, should I just close it, or wait another two weeks?

I am separated from my husband. He stays at the trailor at his job site and comes home on the weekends to mow and pay some of the bills. I am responsible for the rest. I did not qualify for pell or any other grant because of him and had to get loans. However, now that we are separated and very little chance of working it out, does this help with my financial aid?

I already recieve some financial aid, but it's not enough to cover everything. So I've obviously already done the FAFSA. I'm not a "traditional" student, I'm a returning student, mother and work full-time. Problem- credit sucks because of poor choices in my past, so I can't get any extra traditional loans. Any suggestions???

In the past I have not been able to qualify for financial aid as a dependent student. I probably made a little over the maximum to be considered for aid this year. But I am thinking about going back to school full time ASAP. My mom has not worked in 2 years because she is on disability. If I quit my job to just go to school and fill out the FAFSA what will my chances be? How does it work when you quit your job and have no reported income, but I worked all this year?

Please help... I really need $$ for school.

Just wondering if you think I could go to school for free. I am married (usually knocks me out of any goverment help), with one child. Our income is about 26,000 a year. I'm not working. Do you think I'll still have to pay? I want to go back to school next year.

I am new student at a technical college, I currently have some health problems that were unexpected, and I am really having a tough time financially, although despite these setbacks I am maintaining good grades. I have some aid already, grants have paid for my tuition and books, and I have a small Stafford loan approved for this school year. Which would have been enough, had I not become ill in August and am unable to work and go to school full-time. Any suggestions on grants, scholarships, etc. would be very helpful and greatly appreciated. Also I might add that I have no spouse or family to help me and am responsible for all of my bills and living expenses. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I would not be asking for this type of information, but I have so many medical appointments, hospital and doctor co-pays, and am still undergoing diagnostic testing, so I have no idea what the future holds, have to be prepared in case I have to remain umemployed for an extended time
