There are sources for help out there in the form of scholarships and grants.

If the school is accredited with the federal government, fill out FAFSA.ed.gov. It will help you get both federal and college specific financial aid programs such as grants and scholarships. The college's financial aid office can answer this question.

Second, the college's financial aid office website often lists scholarships and grants from private organizations and companies.

Finally, there are free membership scholarship search websites. Many are updated on a regular basis.

Good luck!

As far as FAFSA is concerned, it depends on which school you are attending. FAFSA does not go towards distance education programs in my state, even if it is an accredited public university. Hopefully it will in your state. You have to ask your school specifically and get everything in writing so they don't turn around and tell you that you are ineligible for aid at the last minute, leaving you to pay for the class yourself!

You can get the same aid as any other student. Fill out the FAFSA online.
