They will if they go to a collection agency or they get a judgment against you. Usually, medical facilities don't report anything to the credit bureaus themselves so you're ok until it gets referred to a collection agency. Once the agency gets it, your credit score plummets.

Yes it can hurt your credit score. BUT if you do have a medical bill that hits collection make the minimum payment and it will show you are attempting to pay off the debt. Not to mention many lending agencies realize medical bills are unforeseen bills that everyone has, therefore they don't carry much weight when you ask for a loan.

Yes, Unpaid medical bills are just like any other bill. They can hurt your credit. You can check you credit score by searching for "free credit report" Most of these services sign you up for some type of credit watch program that they charge monthly for but as long as you cancel before their "free" trial period ends you won't be charged.

yes, any unpaid bill regardless of who is the creditor will affect your credit rating

yes it can especially once it gets to a collection agency, so its best that you make payment arrangements now... some collections will work with you for payment arrangements and some want the whole lump sum right then.
