I need about 40 thousand dollars in grant money. Where is the best place to look for grants? The places online all want money to send me some book and I am afraid they might be scams. Any advice?

My boyfriend has refugee status in this country. He is from the Sudan. This means he is free to work and go to school here. However, does anyone know whether he would qualify for a pell grant? Or do you have to be a technical citizen?

I am asking this because I'm frantically looking for ways to help ease his load, which would include NOT working a fulltime overnight job while going to school fulltime and supporting a cousin who barely works at all...

I need to find ways for him to go to school without having to work like this at the same time. It's insane. And we are probably going to be finished for good because of the stress if some solution is not found. I'm trying to help.

Anyone with a HELPFUL and INFORMATIVE answer will be awarded best answer. Thank you.

I've always dreamed of traveling the world after college and before I get tied down with a career and family. I've been saving up money, and slowly preparing for my trip but last night, it occured to me that i'll need to start repaying my student loans once i'm out of college in a year. I hope to be in Europe and I won't have the means or the money to pay the loans while I'm gone, so is there a way I can talk to the loan people and set it up so theres some time off? Anybody ever done something similar to this?

Hi,
I'm thinking of doing part time MBA and asking my employer to sponsor it.
Can someone suggest me a way to speak to my higher autorities in my company in a way that they cannot refuse my request?

Like how helpful it would be for the company to sponsor me, what I can contribute towards the company after my degree etc etc.
Any ideas are welcome and would be much appreciated.

My employers are quite a big IT/consultancy company.
Financially well off (as far I know ha ha ha).

Thanks.

With the money you are saving by not going to a University the first two years, you can be saving that money so that when you are done with your community college, you can be saving to pay for the other two years at the university.

I received my undergrad degree two years ago. I've been making regular payments on my student loans since then. I'd now like to go back to grad school - is it possible to defer what's left of the undergrad loans while in school? Or since I've started paying them off, is that it?
