A great idea to start off is getting your name known in your community along with a website. Go to community events such as a church event, school social, or even a meet and greet at the town square. There are other choices, too. A website is becoming more important these days to get your positions be known and update where you will be with future appearances. In addition, you can raise campaign funds via the website. Good luck!

You may want to brush up on your typing skills and that thing called spell check. Beyond that it is making a lot of calls and writing a lot of letters... hence the typing skills.
