If you get a GED and later decide to go back to high school and get a diploma, then I think you can.

You can only do one or the other. If you graduate from high school you do not need a ged. When you graduate you get a diploma. However, the ged was created for people who dropped out of high school, when you drop out you get a ged rather than the diploma

In my opinion people prefer to see the HS diploma. I've also heard that it's more difficult to pass the GED than to graduate high school. That may be especially true if you are away from school some time and then try the test.

You do one or the other, not both. You get a diploma when you graduate from high school and a GED if you drop out of school.

Kinda pointless. A GED is a subsitute for a high school diploma and you can't use college credit for your diploma if thats what you mean?. Plus depending on the college you hope to one day get into, it might not look good to them if they see that you couldn't even finish high school and took the lazy way out. My advice is to stick to high school and go to college when you are ready for it or else you will get stuck in precredit classes.

It depends on the state you live in. The answer is yes in Florida. There are community colleges that offer a duel GED and HS program. Contact your local community College/Junior college and your local school district to get details.

Yes, you can get your GED first, and then later on when you have the time you can go back and get your diploma. In the meantime you would have the GED to fall back on.
