When you get to high school does everything change?

I'm having a huge brainfart. There's a word I can't think of, maybe you know it?
See, I'm writing a story, and I'm filling out a character questionaire to help organize my thoughts. So it's like,
Name:
Nickname, if any:
And then here, I want to expand on that and say how the person got their nickname. I'd just put that with the nickname, but I want to stay more organized. but I can't think of what to call that part. Like, (blank) of nickname, that means the same as Where this nickname comes from or whatever. I think it might start with an "R," but for the life of me, I can't remember the word.
Can you think of the word that I can't remember?

It's a nonsensical phrase. People, the correct way is "I couldn't care less". "I could care less" implies that there is room left for you to not care, which renders the idiom useless. Sadly, "I could care less" is more common. It's quite pathetic actually.

Going to college is really freaking me out. I don't want to move away from home, but have to in order to go to the college that I have been wanting to attend for years. Please tell me what it is like living in the dorms, and college campus life. Is it cool, stupid, nerve racking, ect.?

Here are some examples. If someone posts a question about ANY race and use the word some, why is it that somebody always end up saying the asker is labeling that race when he or her obviously used the word some? I mean...are they doing it on purpose or what?

but I want to know, are the chances of getting in still good if you're applying to a university that is in a different state from the community college you attended?

(like for example, I know going to a CCC will improve my chances of getting into a UC, but will it improve my chances if I want to study somewhere in New York perhaps?)

I'm in a real mess, I have a BS degree in psychology and live in a large city, but can get no job that pays anything with a BS degree so I live paycheck to paycheck and have gotten in to a large debt with credit cards, over 22,000 $ and that isn't even school loans, I am 32 years old and single with no children, is there any way I can go back to school to get a degree to make a living with scholorships or free money, since I already have a degree, I got no help before due to living with my parents and the state considers their income since I was just out of highschool, I would like to go into nursing, I can't tell my parents of this debt, they have already sacraficed to send me to school in the 1st place and still have parent plus loans to pay, I make 20,000 a year now, I don't know where to turn, I know I need a job to pay for my expenses and this degree just doesn't pay anywhere I've checked, could someone please help me and tell me how to get out of this mess I've got myself in!!!

I recently found out the other day from my mom that my grandfather(on my dad's side) was a professor at Harvard(I never met him. I only ever met one of my grandparents actually)

How would I find out more about him or his career or whatever?
I'm just sort of curious

(btw don't tell me to ask my dad because he died when I was around 7)

Personal experiences would be appreciated.

Do you form closer bonds with your students at highschool because they are more mature? Are teenagers harder to control? etc etc

I got a great answer about Princeton....but what is MIT like??
so I'm asking again: Should my sweet humble. curious, caring-awesome awesome kid, go to Princeton or MIT??
He got early decision acceptance at both-the tuition is not an issue...I want to know about the daily life and all around experience- Is MIT too stressfull/competitive?? But MIT sends its acceptance letter in this cool tube w/confetti-so it can't be too bad, right? But...will it make his head explode? what are the living arrangements like? high school was all work no play (obviously or he wouldn't have this decision to make today) so I want most for him to enjoy his college years & find his niche.- He is interested in Computer science and math...funny kid, dry sense of humor, super mature For fun he likes computers, sport of fencing, cars. Of course he will go where he decides to go but I can kind of tell he is sort of sick of all the competition-...
