Find a good counsellor/advisor. Don't be scared to ask for a different counsellor if you haven't declared a major yet, and meet with your advisor often.

You'll find you have a lot of questions about things, and you might start feeling out of the loop, like you should already know things. But don't be scared to ask your advisor anything, and be sure to write down questions and really say what you want. You can spend a lot of time taking the wrong classes or missing deadlines, etc. if you don't have a good advisor.

Know the best way that you learn things whether through note-taking/lecture, hands-on, etc. The most important thing you should get out of high school is literally "learning how to learn".

How to study effectively. Cramming is generally not effective. In college it is not just studying for each exam, but retaining for following semester's courses. Everything is built upon what came before, and you need to retain what you learned.

College really prepares you to learn.

Learn to use all aspects of the library. Most people have no idea what they can and are able to do.
