I'm considering starting work on a Master's of Healthcare Administration through the U of Phoenix Online program (work demands prohibit traditional classroom instruction) and am curious about whether potential employers would consider this a strong positive.

Is it normal to spend 4 hours an night doing "homework" for 3 classes? Basic Programmin, College level Algebra, and Technical Writing. These are online, 3rd year classes. He makes A's and is very smart. I feel like he spends WAY too much unneccessary time on homework, then has no time to do anything with me...he somehow manages to do what HE wants though...

Like I just read a CNN article that called marijuana the shiftless counterpart of the go getter hemp. It made me chuckle.
I know theres a term for this. For some reason the only thing I can think of is hyperbole, which I know is a gross exageration used to make a point. Whats giving human traits to non human subjects?

When I was young, self esteem was something that grew out of a sense of accomplishment and was hard won in competition and overcoming challenges, mental, physical, social etc...
In contrast, with the 'dumming down' of our schools, self esteem is being taught.
It is being presented as wrong for a child to feel shame, or go through the things that actually build character.
would a child not feel more REAL esteem, if he were to pass a difficult test, rather than be told he is as good as everyone else, even though he put forth no effort and still failed a less challengine assignment?
I liken this to building muscle. lifting a feather, rather not even trying and , h3ence NOT lifting it, compared to actual weight training that is a struggle for the muscles. No amount of undeserved ego stroking will make the muscle grow, but the visible and emotional gain from the realized benefits from doing the task are immeasurable (OK you CAN measure the muscle, but you get the point)
Thoughts?

I am currently a senior in high school in California and my family has decided to move to Wisconsin all of a sudden. My parents want me to go but I say, finish off my senior year first while they move. I do not want to go for I am in my senior year and do have family here in my city that I can stay with. Are the requirements for college different from here in California and Wisconsin and is it recommended that I go or stay since it is my senior year?

I am a junior in college and I am contemplating getting married. The only thing that has stopped me thus far is the fear of losing my financial aid. I cannot afford to lose any of my financial aid. We have two children together. I do not work because of school and the children, but he works full time. This year before taxes, he should bring home about $23,000. My estimated financial contribution as of now is $0. Would it change if I got married?
