Question- "The Civil War was the contemporary equivalent of a nuclear attack on the nation"-so writes a prominent scholar. Do you agree or disagree? Why?

We, here at Marion, agree with the statement made by William Banks. The Civil War resembles a nuclear attack in quite a few aspects. The obvious reason is because the Civil War killed thousands of people, just as a nuclear attack would. Another reason is because of what it did to the economy, praticularly in the South. The war destroyed the South's cropland, which was the South's main source of revenue. By the end of the Civil War, the South was experianceing a depression, while the North had an inflated economy.

I would like to ultimately become a doctor that's why I would get a B.Sc, but I also love business and would like a BBA. But I was thinking I might want to be a lawyer later on. But anyway...can I get a degree in both at the same time at the same university? I'm only in high school, but am planning ahead. Would I still be in school for 4 years? Or am I crazy in this (I think I have heard of people doing this before). What would the course load be like, etc.? Or the university offers a BBA with a joint major in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, but how would I get the other science requirements for medical school?

ok , so every yr the 8th grade does this thing called an IRP . Independent research project , where u have to have a question that u can do research and graphs from. ... and maybe compare it to something.... for ex i could compare the different brands of paper towels , and see which one is the best for ure money .. .that holds the most water etc.. but i cant do that one since it was on file from the last two yrs...
