I agree with Happp. UCLA is an a very academic school and doesn't offer trade school-type programs like fashion design. You should go to something like the Fashion Institute for that.

i'm unable to positioned it from now on useful than Darkvelvetrain - and that i'm guessing which you're too youthful to be familiar with the full college component. every person only refers to it as "UCLA" as though that have been the call rather of an acronym, so while you're actually not familiar with the school scene, you will not understand that the U stood for college. factor being, forget approximately approximately anybody who's rude to you approximately that throughout a respond. it is totally uncalled for, irrelevant, and not effective in any respect. My teenager, who's great sensible and finished, hears the main ridiculous issues from her friends as though it have been actuality, and regrettably, usually believes it - so constantly, constantly take what your friends say with a grain of salt! no rely how they act, they don't understand each thing. UCLA is extremely a school - between the final contained in the rustic - and it may be a great determination. it extremely is a state college, so it is plenty extra value-efficient than very almost any private college too. i'm an alum and rather enjoyed it. Congratulations to you for even thinking approximately this properly in strengthen.

Community (county) colleges tend to be much less expensive than the state college or university. They typically offer 2-year (associate degree) career-oriented programs such as for nursing (registered nurse/RN) or computer technology but may also offer one-year certificate programs such as for dental assistant and continuing education courses which may include 'non-credit' courses such as a review course for a certain field. Students also commute (drive or take some sort of public transportation including bus and/or train) to school as opposed to the state colleges and uni's that also have on-campus living. Community colleges also do not require the student to have taken their SAT's, however, cc students do have to take a basic skills placement test to see if they need some remedial courses in math, reading and/or english.

Most 4-yr schools will accept a student who'd attended community college and earned an associate's, but perhaps you can check with ucla 'admissions office' about transfer students and the ratio of their transfer students being from community college. Perhaps you can also talk with the 'transfer coordinator' at the community college which you are looking to attend. As for fashion design, perhaps you can also minor in something such as marketing or such since fashion design is supposed to be quite a competitive field. And just fyi, students with a two year degree, typically 60 college credits or so, do not usually need to have taken the SAT's to transfer though some more prestigious schools do require it regardless such as boston university ('BU').

Community Colleges are...not good schools--they're basically the very lowest tier of colleges. It might be hard to transfer from a CC to a good school like UCLA...so if you can go anywhere but a CC, do that.

UCLA isn't really known for its prestigious fashion department. Go to a fashion school if you really want that, you'll save money and get a better education regarding your major.
