I committed a nonviolent felony (stole a car) when i was 18 in Atlanta. I am now 24 years old and realize that I need an education to get any farther in life than I am. I have just recently gotten my GED and plan on going into graphic design or architecture if I am able. My question is : Will this hold me back from a career? Because of how long ago the crime was (2002), my present and past employers haven't held it against me but they weren't career type jobs unless you like to dig in dirt or do construction. I want to make something out of myself and plan on working my butt off to get there. I just need to know if it is doable. Thanks in advance!!!

RE: question (these two terms together open to abouse?) and response from CT

Sometimes "ethical" is used as a synonym for "moral," as in, "He is a very ethical (moral) person." For some people, "moral" has religious connotations that "ethical" does not. The relevant field of psychology, however, has been called "moral development" for more than a half-century. No religious connotations there. God bless, Tom Lickona

Citeseer and similar on-line search engines allow me to look at papers that reference the same sources as the paper I am reading. However, I want to look at the papers which directly reference the paper I am reading.

For example: I am reading "Quantum mechanics of measurement" by Cerf - call it QMM. I want to read papers which cite QMM.

Can you tell me an internet resource which allows me to get a list of papers that cite QMM?

I am in the process of applying to several UK universities as a postgraduate international student - entry Jan 2008.

However, it's been more than three weeks since the first application and I got no reply back of any kind, not even to my email enquires.

Does any one know if UK universities usually only respond to short listed applications and ignore the rest or do they reply to every application even if their decision was negative?

Thanks.

Well, i have a few questions i would really appreciate help with.
The quotes:
"Treason dith never prosper. What's the reason?"
"Nothing is so monotonous as change."
"Your virtues, gentle master, Are sanctified and holy traitors to you."
i would overly appreciate if anyone can figure out the "figures of Speech," used within them.
Thankyou for your help and replies =D

I want the exact words of the quote. It is rather unpopular, you know....

They'd pay you a thousand bucks for your body,
5 cents for your soul...
