I heard someone say "One speaks good English" recently, and was wondering if this was a correct usage. I've always thought that "one" refered to either a person, or people in general. So I would have thought that "If one speaks good English..." would be correct, but not just "One speaks good English" because people, in general don't speak good English. I was just wondering! Thanks for answers!

There is a team building, creativity exercise where team members get a raw egg and are required to build a basket out of drinking straws. Then they throw the contraption out of the window on the hope their contraption will stop the egg from breaking.

I have been looking online and found a number of cool variations, but I want to original with just an egg and drinking straws. What I am curious about is how many drinking straws I should give to each group.

By the way, I have done this before with little children, but I gave them lots of straws and masking tape to make their contraption.

I'm in class 5 days a week and I work 5-4 days a week, with no option to work less. Two of my classes involve some serious reading...about 6 books and A LOT of articles. If this were anybody else would you drop a class? I would drop my Literture because the teacher is the type that brings no "energy" into his lectures. Not to mention he talks about the same thing and doesn't seem like he can actually cover whats on the schedule. Would it be smarter for me to just admit the load is too much with 5 classes and be safe with my scholarship?

So, what makes college students broke? Is it that they have to pay for school that makes them broke? Or is it their spending habits? Cuz I'm a new college student, and I got my financial aid and everything, and so I got all that money. But if most students get at least some financial aid, why are they broke? Is it the "partying"? Or what is it?
