I see a lot of people asking this question and I just wanted to get some direct answers. I stopped going to college when I was done partying. I started my own business and make more money than any of my friends (or anyone I know my age) that graduated. Most of them are coming to me for work and I feel as if though they were robbed of money and years of their life conforming to the wasteless protocol society demands. Can anyone here cite one example where a college degree had a direct effect on someone making real money? (over 200k/year) I think this question is important for people to have answered, because for myself, I did not learn anything until I stopped going to school and entered the real world. It seems like college/school not only takes your money, but conditions individuals to wear blinders and limits their real potential via it's "cookie-cutter" system. Aside from being a vehicle of order for the masses, does higher education really teach anything valuable?

For example I am doing it right now. I am on answers instead of studying for a science exam I have tomorrow.
I know that people will say, "Just get off your but and do it" but I can't. I just can't motivate myself to. I never ever do my homework if the teacher doesn't check and barely ever if the teacher does check it and even then, it's about five minutes before the lesson starts.
It's all right in subjects that I like because I actually pay attention in class but the rest of the time; I just sit there and doodle in my book.
Last term, I didn't do three of the assignments I was supposed to do and somehow, miraculously got away with it. I decided that this term I would try harder and I actually managed to my religion assignment (but that again was completely last minute) but I am not doing well in anything else.
Please help me because I know I am smart enough to do the work but I am just having trouble motivating myself to do it. Please

I know what draconian and Pyrrhic refer too. I want other words you can think of that have a basis in history. Things like "scuttlebutt" and "cooties". I'm making up a presentation for the college world history class that I teach. Very smart people out there in cyberspace. What can you add?

I have looked it up online, but the version I heard in French class many years ago was different. It is a term for a fictional bug infestation that was contagious, but why did American kids in the 50s start saying this? There was even a popular plastic toy called a "Cootie" which younger answers may not be familiar with. Thanks!

So what courses are they generally? Do you get to choose, generally. Say if I wanted to take physics in high school but didn't get a chance to, can I take it as a general ed? Plus would it affect my chances of being chosen by a college if I want to major in possibly medicine or optometry? Please discuss the essentials of general eds. Thanks!

My friend asked me this question...haha. He's in a different math course, and I can't figure it out, which is kind of bad..but help, please?

You are building a walkway of uniform width around a 100 foot by 60 foot swimming pool. After completing the walkway. you want to put a fence along the outer edge of the walkway. You have 450 feet of fencing to enclose the walkway. What is the maximum width of the walkway?

I'm planning on going to a state run four-year University, and I'm planning to major in Journalism. With that said, does anyone know what kind of math courses I would be required to take? I hate math and would never even think about dedicating the amount of time needed to learn Calculus or any other type of complex math syntax. If Calculus is required, please tell me so that I don't waste my time (and money!) applying to colleges.

Thanks.
