It is actually not "politically correct" to have "female" versions for words. A ton of money was spent in California to de-genderize job classifications, creating terms like flight attendant, police officer, fire fighter, and some less sensible ones. Today, many serious female actors choose that word rather than "actress". So, whoever is doing what you are describing is doing it for some other reason, probably just to be a pain in the rear end.

PC needs to die an ugly and brutal death & we should make every effort to stop/abuse the neurotic ninnies of newspeak.
Nobody thinks a postman has to be male, so please stop spending my tax dollars to fund the foisting of 'postal carrier' on the public. Millions spent to add syllables to solve a problem no one has. Jeez..
That said though, I really don't see how 'Creatress' differs from 'Goddess'.
Really, the Creator supposed to be a spirit, so going all hissy on the supposed arrangement of transcendent genitalia seems a bit much.
If our ladies want to express a belief in the feminine nature of the Creator….. Well Gaiadamnit, I'm all for freedom of religion & it's not like the capacity to create life isn't considered feminine anyway.
There should be NO misogyny until they say something like: "Shouldn’t the Constitution read: 'Endowed by the Creatress …….
Put down the pen, back away from the parchment, …..
….& no one gets hurt.

Yes to a point most of it is out of control.... but then some females just have to exert their "power" by changing male insinuated words to fit themselves.. heaven forbid they be considered below a male.... but I always liked em on top anyway... LOL

HAHHAHA!!! Creatress. That is as ridiculous as the term "webmistress." There is a fine line between being sensitive and being ridiculous. The word "creatress" crosses that line by miles.
