I am well-prepared and I am planning on getting everything ready tonight so that tomorrow morning I'll be ready to go. However, I can't fight those darn butterflies...does anyone know any good relaxation techniques or advice?

So in ma skool n various othr skools near by hav been accepting "internet lingo" or "msn lingo" as acceptable forms of writing english.
I did peer tutoring for a english class and kids would writ like that in their essays and such. As a english major I saw to the teachers...Way to make students even more lazy!!.

"So wen i wuz marking these papers, i wuz like wtf! so i marked all dem up and told em to re-do it. But then the teach was like ya thats ok, it's fine. Omg! i wuz like wat! He said idc, it's done. oh n btw this was a 11th grade english class"

It's ridiculous. Kids already hate going to school now they are allowing them to use this. Do you think college or university will accept this-maybe by then they will. It's a disgrace. It's the lazy way.

The educational system is falling apart. Do you think this should be an acceptable form of english. I sure as H.E.L.L don't!

I was just asked to join. What would I be expected to do if I joined? How much time is involved in being a member? I have a job, plus family,and I am full time student,would I have the time to spare to be a member? What are the benefits vs. the draw backs? I am looking for anyone who can explain to me the purpose of being a member and who can give insite as to what being a member would mean to me in the long run. Thanks.

Compared to others, is it a good school? It's not on US News and World Report's top 120 or whatever, but is it still a decent school? I really like their Geosciences program.

I am currently attending a UC (which I transferred into from a community college about a year ago). I am starting my senior year in the Fall and am planning on applying to a Cal State for my MA but I have only one person to write me a letter of recomendation! I need two! The problem is that all but two of the classes I have taken in my major have been taught by graduate students and they have all told me that they would have no problem writing me a letter but that it would not be likely to get me in because they are still just grad students themselves. One of the classes I took with an actual faculty member is out because it was a lower-division class. There is one other professor I am thinking about asking (I took one class with him before and am signed up for another in the Fall), but it Summer vacation right now and by the time the class starts I will need the stupid letter within a week! What do I do? Email him and pray he remembers me? What would/did you guys do?

I want to send my son to the headstart program but i heard you have to make a certain amount of money. I was wondering what is the cirriculum like from the time they go in to the time they get out. What do they teach them and what time do they have to be there and be picked up is it like regular school from 8-3 o clock

have been studiying in Sydney for nearly 2 years major in Hospitality Management vacational full time on campus diploma and will be finishing very shortly besides I have nearly been working for a hotel for 2 years where is in Sydney as as waiter my company does not want to sponsor overseas students as company policy
I am just wondering If any one knows any place ,agency etc. to find a company which can sponsor me up to 4 years long term work relation thing..

This jerk bartender corrected me tonight [in front of company too!] on my use of the word procession. He overheard me telling my friend that "some people want more in relationships the longer they're in them - it's a natural procession." The bartender loudly ridiculed me for not using the word "progression" but isn't procession also appropriate? I avoided progression because it implies progress - no?

Anyway, please help me out. This is bugging me.

So, I am a 17 year old girl and currently a senior of the 2007-2008 school year. Next year I wish to go to college and pursue a job in Journalism but I have no money. I am planning on starting an Orphanage in China in about 5-10 years, but I'm not sure exactly what kind of education would best equip me for this. Perhaps a Masters in Social Work with some side courses in Business? Does anyone know or know someone who has done something simular and what kind of education they got? I already know a lot of the practical stuff (I've been to China before), but I know there is still a lot I need to learn.
