To write the essay, first you need to learn to spell the word: competition. ;-)
How about using a quote on competition as the basis of your essay?

Compare and Contrast.
I.E. competition for getting on a sports team & a job interview to get a job. (something thats related to you now, and something for real life)
Buisnessn Compeptition (think back to Econ) and about how big buisnesses (walmart) compete with small buisnesses (local grocerys) to win customers.

Competion is always hard. You either win or lose, but everyone wants to win, so to do so you have to practice hard for whatever goad you're trying to achieve. Then their is losing... No one wants to lose but it's a compition and someone always has to lose. For you to win, you have to practice and train harder than the other opponent. But competion isn't always about winning or losing it's having fun while you're doing it. Yeah, no one wants to be a loser, but if you're having fun... that doesn't really matter
