One of the teachers asked me if i'd mind tutoring a 13 year old boy who failed his english exam. I said ok, so she took my contact details. The boy came today and I read with him and taught him some poetic terms..Anyway, his parents didn't mention anything about the money...but the teacher at school told me to ask for $20 an hour. Is that too much?? The boys dad wants me to teach him for 1 and a half hours 3 times a week. How much should I charge and how should I introduce this subject to the parents without sounding rude? I'm a graduate and will start university in August. Help.

As I look out my window ready to go out all I could see was the rain pelting down its delicate noise hitting the ground I was dreading going out tonight but Janice was depending on me. The slow dying wind of November greets me as I step outside. The trees shaking leaving their trial of leaves fluttering through the air I shiver zip up my coat the rain hammering down on me i run to the car. I sit staring at the steering wheel for a couple of minutes and think to myself how will I ever be able to look Janice in the eye tonight after what I had done last night what if she already knows about it.

I remember hearing a tale (or perhaps fact...) about there being some bird whose sweetest song is sung right before it dies (and I believe the death that follows is because it impales itself or something morbid). Does anyone know the details on this story and what kind of bird it is? It strikes me as an old folk-tale, but I can't remember any specifics to it.

In the future, I would like to move to Arizona. How would I qualify to to be a substitute teacher there? Would I need to take another state certification exam?

Okay so at my summer camp we have to make a "camp name" which consists of our name but sort of mushed into some kind of phrase.

For example, "Lindsey" could be "Put the lime Lindsey coconut" or "Paula" could be "Paula want a cracker." I need a clever one for the name "Susie"

My son has been offered several university places including the LSE, Oxford and Bristol. However, he wants to study Economics at Kent University because it means he can live at home and keep in touch with his school chums, who are also mainly hoping to study at Kent University.

Is this a choice he will live to regret?

I had a learning Disability and through no fault of my
own could not meet the requirements of a high school diploma.Do you think if the help was available when I was younger I could have gotten
a Diploma? I was surprised to pass the GED on
the first try since I was never taught much in
special ed classes. I guess it is automatically
my fault I could not meet the requirements of a
diploma thats what society says. I gave up on
College because I know I never will be able to
do the work I was told that.I wish people would
quit bad mouthing the GED,it is a second chance
and where would a lot of people be without it?
More on welfare. Is it true you can not get into
the military with a GED? The military
use to give the GED to their recruits who did not
graduate from high school. Not anymore.I am
in my 40s.

I would like to put my daughter in a non-conventional pre-K, Kindergarten etc. Anyone know of any in Miami,Fl. She is 3 years old and loves the planets, she prefers reptiles instead of dolls (not that playing with dolls is a bad thing) I read 3 books every evening to her without fail and I am teaching her how to read (not because I am rushing her, but she shows an interest in reading) Oh, and she loves Led Zepellin.......hehhee.
