i have a really bad problem with speaking, i literally mean speaking, i have problems with making the sh, s, th, ch, sounds, i just cant get it right. can any1 help me so that i can get better with my speaking problems.

well i need a formula or something to do this world problem..

1. Find the length of a rectangle if its area 64 and its width is 4.

2. The perimeter of a rectangle is 350. Find the length if the width is 41.

3. If a man walks five miles in one hour, how many miles will he walk in one hour, how many miles will he walk in one house, twelve minutes? << i dont get that problem..

My son has been left back for the third time in school. He's 18 years old and in the 9th grade. He reads and writes very well and is very articulate. His teachers have often said he has potential but needs to try more. I have done EVERYTHING from tutors, to dicipline, an alternative school, and he does very well for ahile then he goofs off again. He would rather watch videos and talk to his girlfriend. I know he can do better. During the year I ask him if he has homeowrk and how's school. He says okay and gets good marks then he just tanks after a while. I don't know what to do. Any advice guys. Thanks.

so we had this weird semester test schedule. and our lunch was off campus. so me and my friends went out to eat. well i was like a minute late to my next class and i hurried as fast as i could. i probably should say that semester tests are REALLY important. well the other day my teacher said that she will be locked the doors if anyone is late they wouldnt be able to take the test. well fine she DID warn us. but i wasnt planin on. so i got locked out and now i have to make it up. well our school POLICY says that if a student is not in class for more than 5 minutes that student is absent. if a student is late but less than 5 minutes than that student is just tardy. so do u think it was right of her to lock the door? cuz i was only a minute late.

Has anyone noticed what terrible spellers our children are? What's the deal? Is spelling not taught in school these days? From the way some of these questions are written, it is obviously NOT. Do you think spell check has added to this problem?

Again and again I see questions asked that people could do themselves if they read their textbooks or other references or learnt to use google or wikipedia.

Why do people have such an aversion to reading books?

I dont mind helping when people explain why they havnt had time to read the book like they have a MAJOR personal problem or been ILL or have to work PART TIME to support themselves but there are way too many people posting here who seem to think they should just get their homework answers given to them cos they promise to give other people points!

Yahoo Answers shouldnt be a popularity competition!

I've seen people getting points for agreeing with the questioner rather than answering the question!

Thats so NOT right!

I want to see more TOP contributors encourage posters to

a) read books and use libraries

b) learn to use goolgle and wikipedia

c) give posters search parameters rather than full answers so they have to learn how to do their home work

... I need 15000 dollars to pay for an apartment for the next two years, but I can't get my parents to cosign for it, but I know I could get my brother in-law or possibly even his mom to cosign. Do you think they will loan it to me? (The most I an get the college to loan is 4000 and that covers the schooling but not the apartment rent).

My "assistant" has been reassigned to me even though I was promised a new one. She does whatever she wants, is late every day, is never where she is supposed to be, and does not complete her delegated responsiblilties.(She hasn't even taken attendance since November.) I teach Spec. Ed to children ages 6-9, and I teach two grades simultaneously. The "higher-ups" are well aware of the problems. (I started in Feb.06 and I am told the problem is well known and has been for some time.) I will not make progress with my students in the coming year, and could lose my cert. if I am held responsible in any way for her actions( or inadequacy). ( Everyone knows administration steps aside and the teacher goes down if the school is sued because she is not doing her job.) She makes fantastic money and has 18yrs experience . ( I have 10). It is not personal. I only made progress this year because I have 2 one to ones in my room helping me. She is definitely a liability.What to do?I have no tenure!
