I am currently a 4.8 student and I am enrolled in 4 AP Classes- AP Engish, AP US Hist, AP Gov and Pol, AP Environmental. I know these are not the toughest AP classes avaliable, so I decieded to choose 4 and I have been succeeding. Next Year I am signed up for AP Stat, AP Lit, AP Psyc, and Ap European History, and am hoping to maintain a straight A Average. I got a 3.2 unweighted(4.0w) my freshman year, and this is where I become worried. I recieved 4 B's and 3 A's. The summer going into my sophomore year (the year I began making straight A's), I realized how much of a passion I had for learning, and my freshman year, I had was just messing up with no goals. So now I have made a 1300 Old SAT, and 30 ACT, and am wondering If I can get into the school I love everything about, Penn. I am a nationally ranked tennis player and have been playing since elementary, Stuco Chair, Class Board Treasurer, Tennis Club Booster Pres. I want to start by saying that I support the idea of not having cellphones for chit chatting..But.>Today there was a Tornado warning at my Son's schools and some of the children were scared and crying. THey got their cellphones out to call their parents during the dock and cover...The teachers got upset and told them that the school law says do not use cellphones on school grounds...Dont you think that children should have the right to call the parents during caothic incidents, just for the heck of feeling more comforted? I mean these kids were crying, and nobody in that school can comfort them like their parents can... I feel that this si wrong and I am a teacher myself, What do you all think?

I am a sophmore in school, about to be a junior very soon.
I am starting to plan out my future and I am considering attending to Duke University.

I have a 4.0, am in the top 15 of my sophmore class, and take the hardest classes my public school offers.

I want to be a nutritionist with a minor in psychology. I live in Tennessee btw.

So, my questions are:
1: Do you think I could get in, and possibly get a good scholarship?
2: To those who attend, or have attended: Do/did you think it is a good school? Would you recommen it? What are its good quatlities? And it's faults?

I have done my research on the school but I want first hand experiences and opinions...they are normally more helpful to me seeing as how the school wants you to go there and a student or graduate could just give it to me straight.

All help, opinions, etc, is Greatly appreciated. Thank you!
