I just graduated high school and i'm tryna go to college for computers but my family wont help me get a student loans. But they are always telling me that i need to go to college and do this and that with my life but i cant get them to even help me now that im trying to go to college. I need some advice!!!!!

Ok so I just finished my freshman year in college and I did WAY worse than I could have ever expected. I always got top grades in high school and all my classes were either honors or AP and I got mostly 4s in all my AP tests, etc. Now that I'm in college (University of Florida) I haven't been able to get a single A. Well I did get three As but they were stupid classes. The rest have been Bs and Cs and this semester I had to drop a class because I didn't want to get a C again.

I'm pretty sure my GPA will end up being very close to 3.0 perhaps even below 3.0 like 2.96 I'm incredibly dissapointed about this semester in particular because fall semester I could blame it on my roommate who never let me study or do anything, but this semester I have no excuse and I thought I was going to pull up my GPA to at least 3.25

The worst thing is that I've perfectly understood all the material and everything. I just don't understand what's wrong with me, and why I can't make the grades. Help!

I failed a major english exam a few years back. Till today, I am appalled as to how come I fail it.

Honestly, I do not think that i am poor in english. I had chat with caucasians. I can understand english jokes. I have no problem writing.

Furthermore, I am still exposing myself to the language even it is not my mother tongue.

However, my qualification will always state that I fail my english. Honestly, do you guys feel that someone is poor in a language just because he/she failed the exam?

Personally, language to me cannot be gauge by the examination. Through exposure, we are improving ourselves as we grow. How can an exam from one point in life determines my language skill for life?

You know, lately parent will get angry and start all the lectures when we failed our exam. Even worse,when we drop out of school. We will be grounded and not allowed to play outside. Put aside, the garage. But, i wonder where is Bill`s Dad when he was in that situation?

I`m sure our parent will lecture us to study hard, study smart, reminds us how important is the eductaion and so on. Anybody have a clue?
