I have a 2.7 GPA, some extracurricular activity, 21 ACT score... I want to go to a bigger school, preferrably a state school, preferrably down south, or somewher warm at least. What would be some specific schools that would accept me?

I live in the north so I don't know any schools in the south. But try checking out collegeboard.com. It lets you search for school and compare them. It tells you all of the info like tutition and what SAT scores and GPA you need. I'm not sure how accurate all of the info is, but I think its pretty on point. When I was in high school they told us about that website when it was time to apply for college. Hope it helps!

Check out Troy University in Troy, AL, until recently it was Troy State University.

Also check out the University of South Alabama in Mobil, AL.

Delta State University in Cleveland, MS is another possibility, but be warned, the Delta is a different world, especially if you are from a large city, or the Northeast.

Yet another possibility is to attend a Community College and improve your GPA. I know that Mississippi Delta Community College will accept anyone regardless of ACT scores. In fact that is the policy for all Mississippi Community Colleges.

i live in alabama, and i know alot of people who go directly to a community college after hs, it is alot easier to get into and cheaper than big universities. and with good grades you can always transfer to a bigger school with transferable credits if you wanted to
