It gets easier the more you do these:
(2x+3)(x+4) FOIL-first, outside, inside, last
2x^2 + 8x + 3x + 12 = 2x^2 + 11x +12

All you really need to do is FOIL:
(2x+3)(x+4)
Distribute the 2x to the x and 4 first.
=2xx or 2x^2
=8x
Now distribute the 3 to the x and the 4.
=3x
=12
Now, put these together.
2x^2+8x+3x+12
Simplify.
2x^2+11x+12

If you want factors, you already have them:
(2x+3)(x+4).
If you want the expression multiplied out, it is:
2x^2 + 11x + 12.

Thank you for giving me a maths sum.
2xsquare + 8x + 3x + 12
= 2x(x + 4) + 3(x + 4) = (2x + 3)(x + 4)
