"East," "west," and "the sun moves across the sky as the day goes on." are all arbitrary statements and are only "true" if you are on earth, and and outside the arctic/antarctic circle...THE EARTH ROTATES AROUND THE SUN, it doesn't "rise" at all, its an illusion of perspective...

Ok well heres the problem the sun does rise in the east and set in the west and move across the sky as the day goes on. Technically the sun doesnt move the earth is revolving around it.

Most people know that the Sun "rises in the east and sets in the west". However, most people don't realize that is a generalization. Actually, the Sun only rises due east and sets due west on 2 days of the year -- the spring and fall equinoxes! On other days, the Sun rises either north or south of "due east" and sets north or south of "due west."

The one statement that will disprove all of these?
The earth moves, orbiting the Sun, which causes the appearance of the Sun moving to someone on Earth.

The sun neither rises, sets, nor moves across the sky.
The 24 hour rotation of the earth makes it appear so.
