Can someone pleaaase check my grammatics on this, it's a really short piece but I need it to be perfect!

Ok, here it goes:

So, I am aware of that this is something that a seven year old might write, but I don't have much time so that's my excuse.. Oh yeah, and I suck at German. Please help!

Btw, can you call "der Strand" "der Beach"?

So i started getting my masters about 2 years ago and I've already got 9 credits, and I need 36 to obtain a Masters...but what im studying im just not interested in, its an education program and i just want to study the language of Spanish itself and not the education part of it to become a teacher....my professors have told me this is probably what i shouldnt do, take another route, because trying to obtain a masters in education is not my thing. I feel so sad and disheartened for dropping out, i havent told my mom, but im afraid she will flip or be disappointed, my friends and father are cool with it, but i just feel so lost and hopeless ive started something and didnt finish. Am i doing the right thing? Im taking a class right now and bombed my mid term and have a slim chance of receiving a B to stay in the program. Is it possible to acheive a masters online solely on the language of spanish and where? I think I made a wise choice by removing myself but I dont know....any advice?

I went to the same school from Kindergarden, all the way to grade 11. I only needed a few credits to graduate, so instead of taking another full year in high school, I did correspondance from home. I got my high school diploma from the correspondence school. Would I be considered part of the first school's alumni? Or do you have to get your diploma from that school?

Dear the Rice Committee on Admission,
I’m a transfer applicant to Rice University. While I was completing the transfer application, I realized that the application did not fully represent me. Thus, I would like to seize this opportunity to tell you more about me and my reasons for wanting to transfer.
I came to the United States from China more than six years ago. At first, I could not speak any English which made adapting to the new environment very difficult. I remember vividly my mother taking me to Rice’s campus during my first weekend here in America in order to motivate me. As I was strolling pass by its mesmerizing architecture, I immediately knew that was is where I wanted to go.
For me, education feels like a race. When asked to describe my high school experiences, I would proudly say that I finished the race like a champion. While my peers were raised in the American culture and taught the Western ways of thinking, I stood alone with my Chinese ways of understanding the world. I had to learn everything that they knew and took for granted in a compressed four years. Starting the race from far behind, I picked up my pace little by little. I believe that if I was given more time, I could have been the best. Knowing that I could overcome any challenge thrown my way, I thought I was ready to come to Rice.
However, I was not accepted. At first, I blamed this “failure” on my late start as an American student since I did not have the credential and experiences that my peers had. But looking back, I have had the most unique experiences and have made the most out of every opportunity. When I was still attending junior high school in China, I had the honor to be among one of the first to join the Junior Communist League. Despite the convention, which entails that the league members do what they are told, I took initiative and organized the first fundraiser that our chapter ever had. It is quite amusing to think of those twelve-year-olds walking around, and knocking on doors with shoeboxes in their hands and asking for donations. But the fundraiser was a success. We raised fifty US dollars for under-privileged children in China. After I came to America, I participated and organized a few fundraisers for a women’s shelter. However, even though the same initiative and leadership still resided in me, I was unable to do anything as successfully as I did seven years ago. I believe that I will be able to utilize my qualities through Rice’s programs and student organizations. With its welcoming environment and an active, diverse student body, Rice offers endless opportunities.
Even though the news of me not being able attend Rice was disappointing and heartbreaking, it was never discouraging. I started my college race at full throttle and finished the first semester with a beautiful score. Initially, I thought I worked hard because I was preparing to re-apply to Rice, but discovered later that this is who I am: a perfectionist who never gives up.
While I will be deeply honored if I can have the privilege of attending your prestigious institution, I know now that the acceptance will not define me. Instead, it will signify a new beginning and a new race, one in which I will finish with my best ability.
I would like to thank the Rice Committee on Admission for giving me this opportunity to reveal more about myself.

Why do we say "she's the cat's grandmother" when someone refers to another in their presence as "she"? Maybe it's just a local thing but my mother always used to correct me and said it was rude to refer to someone as "she". Does anyone know where this comes from? Just out of interest.

The younger kids are so sweet and fun to teach, but the older kids have more patience, although they can have attitudes. With the older kids I would only have to prepare 1 lesson plan 6 times. What do you teachers think?

I saw an item in the news the other day where some "college", I can't remember which, wanted to change its name to "university". Or maybe it was the other way around - I forget.

Anyway, they seemed to feel that one title or the other had more cache and would attract a higher caliber of student.

Does anyone know - is there any specific thing that distinguishes a "college" from a "university"? Obviously it's not important but I've always been curious.

I was informed by an unnamed source that in the state of NJ that if you have or will have 120 credits by graduation and have completed all the university's requirements and all your degree requirements, that the school can't keep you from graduating. I called the department of higher education and verified this and they said that despite the school's policy if i complete all general and degree requirements, that i may graduate with 120 credits.

Anyone know if that is 100% true or can anyone cite a source or state law or anything?

Me and a couple of my friends cut our 3rd block almost every other day. For some of us it's Physics (sounds like a tough course, it's not, all you have to do is be on the roster for the class to make an A) and spanish 3 ( the teacher barely speaks it, mostly Romanian). Is it wrong for us to cut? We've already been accepted to college so what's the point?
