I went to the same school from Kindergarden, all the way to grade 11. I only needed a few credits to graduate, so instead of taking another full year in high school, I did correspondance from home. I got my high school diploma from the correspondence school. Would I be considered part of the first school's alumni? Or do you have to get your diploma from that school?

Yes, we had a member in our class who could not finish with us because his father had died at an awkward time. The spring crops had to be planted, since his father was passed on, he had to do all the planting. He has always been considered a part of our class.
Check with one of your former fellow classmates, to ask about the next reunion. They will need your updated address, email and phone. They will be glad to see you, I'm sure.
Sometimes circumstances happen out of our control.
