My Family thinks it's very important for me to go to college. But i'm not really interested in any type of "career" that i could have with a college degree. I love my boyfriend.. I want to get married eventually and have a family... And be a stay at home mom... annnd make music. Is that so bad? How important is college? Is it worth all that money and time and suffering just for a "good" job? If i Should go to college what the heck should i go for?

My full topic is: The Civil War was a major turning point in history. What events did the civil war lead too (if any)? What caused the Civil War? Who fought the Civil War? Who won and how did it end?

Anyone know anything about the U of Arizona? I am a junior looking at schools. I want to study both spanish and education. I have heard they have a good foreign language program? I get straight A's on my report card BUT I don't take any honors classes. Do u think I could get in? Also, tell me anything you know about the school or if you know of schools with great foreign language programs that I should consider.

"Community Service Program

Participation in the Community Service Program is mandatory for all Secondary School students. Students select two community projects per year, ranging from helping to raise awareness of environmental issues, volunteer at orphanages, and centers for the aged, infirmed and disabled."

Does this count as extra activities that will help our acceptance to college? Or is this a thing every high school does?

Where is a good place to shop for textbooks? Like, physically browse through them and make an informed choice?
I'm deciding on a summer program for my summer school students and I thought it would be a nice idea to introduce the entire curriculum to them in the summer.
Therefore, I'm searching for the best textbook to teach and have them learn from. If anyone has any experience in this area, I would appreciate any advice you guys have.
I also live in the NYC region and I'm having a hard time finding a place to shop from. Internet shopping is nice but its difficult to judge the content and depth of some of the publishers.
What do you guys think of my dilemma?

i need to think of some ideas for next years yearbook theme. i've already got some down but i'm not sure how good they are. if you have any ideas--please tell. i need them really creative. and i don't want them to be like "time of our life" or "a time to remember" or "walking on air" those are dull and chessy...i need something louad and colorful and smart! and frankly my brain is starting to hurt thinking about what to do.

I am looking for a place where I can get personal grants, or something like that (free money basically). I do work full time, but my Fiancè is at college and cannot work much. We are getting married this summer and need to get some money for that among various other things like bills and repairs for our house and cars.

I do not want any fake or hokey sites, they are all scams. I do not want any of those "Refer 10 other people and get so much money" deals, they are all scams as well. I want a free, legal and legitimate way to get some money without taking out a large loan, since I already have a credit card, car loan, mortgage payment, etc.

Is there such a thing?

My daughter is allowed to have and use her cell phone in her high school... Because there is no policy in place, the students are allowed to text back and forth during class... leave the class to answer a call... and talk on the phone in the hallways... Her guidance office agrees with me that this should not be allowed but... with no policy in place, our opinion does not matter. We are new at this school and I can assure you, I will become involved with the PTA and the school committee. I am researching here to find what works / doesn't work in your school... What is/is not allowed? What happens if a student violates the policy?

ok i got accepted to college and i am the 1st in my family to go....i am the youngest of 5 and none of my sisters and brothers went and neither did my parents..i want to go sooo bad but dont have the best income to pay for it
