My IQ is 167, and I'm a member of Mensa International. Don't listen to other people's judgements on the high IQ society; they're not in it. They most likely cannot even qualify to join Mensa. It's a great high IQ society, and it gives you an opportunity to connect with others who share such a high intelligence. It's a great way to meet people who you can engage in stimulating conversation with. If you can join, then you should. Just make sure that you took an approved test, not an online one. The online ones are inaccurate. A real IQ test takes hours, even days, not minutes online. If you took an IQ test that was administered by a registered psychologist, then you're able to join. We welcome any and all qualifying members. I know that, personally, being a Mensa member helped me immensely when I was applying to colleges. I was not only accepted into the most prestigious universities, but I also recieved a full scholarship. Join asap!

First of all it depends on the test you took and if it was administered by a qualified professional. Second, any of the stupid IQ tests you can get online are crap. Third, Mensa is a big waste of time and most geniuses don't bother joining something as arrogant as an organization for "smart people". Being 14, you need to just finish school, go to a good college, live a fun life and don't worry about something like Mensa. Also, good spelling does not denote whether or not you are a genius. IQ is the capacity and probable ability of one's mind. I hope this helps.

If you have to ask, then you're not ready. First, it might be a good idea to spell correctly.........see your use of the word which derives from catEgory........

It strikes me as unusual that a person with a 151 IQ would find it necessary to pose this question when there's already considerable information about MENSA available on the Internet. Do yourself a favor and search those sites instead of wasting your time here.

What is the purpose of Mensa?
The International Mensa Constitution lists three purposes:

Identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity
Encourage research into the nature, characteristics and uses of intelligence
Provide a stimulating intellectual and social environment for members

I love "dowe w's" answer, and nominate it for "BEST" answer,...but, I might suggest that you invest your real intellect into the pursuance of your "spiritual" I.Q., it's a more worthwhile endeavor. Way to go, dowe w !!!
