A lawn mower can cut the park lawn in 10 hours. A different mower can cut the same lawn in 12 hours, and a third type can cut it in 15 hours.

I applied to Ca Commisssion of Ed to clear my credential. It will take atleast 6 more months .Should I forget the world of Education. I had a Masters in Elem ED and Adminstration. No other arrests .Could I teach at a college level? Private Schools???

Any ignorant hick or s|ut can find Waldo, so why can't the U.S. find the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq...

Do I smell conspiracy?

By the way, as a TAXPAYER, I want my money back!!! I paid for the military to go on a wild goose chase to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and the military didn't produce!!! Refund please!?!?

And, can we use that refund to provide legitimate healthcare for our injured and impaired veterans and to get 20% of our nation's homeless (who are all military veterans) off the streets?

I am trying to find out which is the top boarding school in the UK for girls. I know for boys it's probably Eton, but there doesn't seem to anything of the same league for girls out there.

Ok, so far this year I been doing ordinary level in class. But next I’m going to be in last year of school and I want to do higher level but what way should I ask him about it? Should I just ask him would he give me a higher level exam in the summer test?? . Or what way do you think I should ask him? He told all of us about what he thinks of your English and he said about myself that’s its ok but I should read over my work because I do get mixed up in a few words. My grade in the Christmas test was 77% . It was easy in ways . My am frightened that I would be to late to change to higher level if I wait . What do u think of this ??

As a Brit living in America, among dozens of other differences in the way we speak our common language, I have noticed that Americans would say "I will bring you" somewhere, where we Brits would say "I will take you".

I am not usually quite this pedantic, but in this instance, the British way seems much more grammatically correct. Surely you "take" something to someone or somewhere. We would only use bring in a sentence like this....... "I will TAKE you to the picnic on Saturday. Will you BRING the wine?" (You are taking your friend to an event, and he/she is bringing the wine with her). We would never use bring for an event in the future, though we might say I will bring you as my guest.

Does anybody even see the difference, or even remotely agree with me? Ok, so now howl me down!!

Somewhere along the way I picked up the daft phrase "If your granny had balls, she'd be your grandad".

Basically it means what is, IS; in other words, don't stress about the past as you can't change what's been and gone.

Am I alone on this one?! I've never heard anyone else use it, but it must have come from somewhere.
