I'm a psychologist in a school, and lately it seems like students don't want to go to school, don't care about their education, and don't ever turn in homework. I've got a 17-20 page list of students who are failing classes (not just one class, some are failing 5 out of 7). I'm young (25), but when I was in school, I don't remember the majority of people hating to go to school, and I don't remember teachers having problems with school work (maybe its because I was a student at the time, but still, I didn't hear it from peers).
Does anyone know what kind of positive behavioral supports I can easily implement so late in the school year?

He has an 82 IQ (below average), reads at a 1st grade level, and likes to get out of class by whinning about how he feels sick or tired. He also lacks social skills because he's a 14 year old who acts like he's 8. When he is suspended, he likes it, so he tries to get suspended from school by skipping class. What can I do to get him to stay in class? I know reinforcers work, but is there anything else?

A group in my community is going to give a scholarship to someone in the area, but I haven't lived here all of my life. I've only been here for four years as opposed to a lot of people who have been here their whole lives, but I really want the scholarship. To apply, you have to write, in letter form, an essay describing yourself. Is it possible for me to win if I write a really great essay, even though I'm not from around here? And can someone help me to do so? I'd like to look over some good examples of such technical writing, but don't know where to start... a little help, please?

I'm halfway through the second term, but I don't think I can go on anymore. I also studying Spanish which I enjoy, but I don't know what to do (it's joint honours). I also failed my winter exams. Although Russian is hard, I sort of enjoy it, but after 16 hours a week, it's so tedious. We're meant to be A-Level now, but my teacher says I'm not even GCSE (don't know what these are called in america, but you take GCSEs at 16, and A-Levels at 18).. I'm meeting with the head of department on wednesday, but if anyone has any opinions or queries about this, please say and help me! i have A levels and i am currently doing a degree part time. i have plans to go to go to mainland uk and want a course were i can combine study with work experience in secondary teaching.
i would like to teach something in the humanities field.
most universities i have looked at only cater for primary education and training, and those that offer secondary teaching only offer it with physical education.
i am 24.
it needs to be a degree that incorporates a QTS scheme.
if anyone out there can help me there is 5 points on offer!!
