I'm halfway through the second term, but I don't think I can go on anymore. I also studying Spanish which I enjoy, but I don't know what to do (it's joint honours). I also failed my winter exams. Although Russian is hard, I sort of enjoy it, but after 16 hours a week, it's so tedious. We're meant to be A-Level now, but my teacher says I'm not even GCSE (don't know what these are called in america, but you take GCSEs at 16, and A-Levels at 18).. I'm meeting with the head of department on wednesday, but if anyone has any opinions or queries about this, please say and help me! The options are: Keep doing my course, Hispanic Studies, Russian Studies, or Spanish and Portuguese. Discuss!!! Thanks a lot.

if you already started learning something, why do you have to stop?

It does not sound like you have a goal in mind. I would analyze whether I was going to need to know Russian to achieve a goal. Spanish and Portugese would be very useful in Central and South America as well as the home countries. Russian would be useful only in Russia. If I intended to do business in Russia, I think knowing the language would be very useful. If you plan to teach, I would go with the languages I was best at. Noone is going to hire a graduate with poor grades to teach. Figure out what you want to be doing after graduation and plan your school curriculum accordingly.
