I need a speech idea for class. I have to give a persuasive speech for public speaking.?
Please no dumb answers. I'm seriously stuck. I have to give a persuasive speech for a college class and I have no ideas. I don't want to do the usual abortions gay rights things like that. I want to do something easy to persuade and easy to talk about. Basically something that isn't too controversial. HELP!!!

I took a public speaking class last semester, and did my persuasive speech on Speaking a second language. I am a double major, business and spanish, and started my speech in spanish, then explained what that meant, and then went in to the benefits of speaking a second language, what it has meant in my life, and the simple ways to get started. A big part of a persuasive speech is the "take action" part of it, where you try to convince the audience to do what you are trying to persuade them. Its easy if you can think of something you like to do. Try the same thing for whatever you are majoring in, and rather than telling them to pick up a second language, maybe recommend some literature they could read about topics in your major so they can decide for themselves how rewarding it can be. I got a 95 on my speech, so I think the subject matter works well. Easy way to relate to your audience (you know for sure they go to school) and a relatively easy subject to persuade people about since its your major, you should be able to show SOME enthusiasm. Just think of anything that you argue with your friends about. One of the speeches given in my class was the reasons Miller Lite is better than Bud Light. It was pretty terrible, but you get the idea.
