I realize it is technically correct to say "spelt" as in "you spelt that word wrong." But isn't it better usage to use the word "spelled" instead?

theres a few ways i think i should consider homeschooling for me:

1. Better grades...i can focus better and take my time with my work

2. things at school arn't going to great

3. i want alone time and tired of people around so many people

Why i wouldn't want to:

1. losing friends

2. not getting out and being stuck in the house all day

I'd like to go back to college - but dag gone college is expensive! How on earth can you afford to go back to college as an adult w/out going into debt with student loans? I've tried to find scholarships but it's hard. And the FAFSA does nothing for me - they don't consider me "poor enough" to get any help. And heck I could probably pay for college if I had no other expenses FAFSA! Anyway, are there any people here who have gone back to college as an adult? How did you do it financially?

Why is it that society always reduces simple to understand words to emotionless, harder to pronounce, multi-syllabic words with no clearly defined psychological meaning.


Shellshock became Battle Fatigue.
Battle fatigue became POST TRAMATIC STRESS DISORDER.


Fat became Obese.

midget became little person and then verticaly challenged.

Retard (one of my favorites) became Autistic, developmentaly disabled, mentally handicapped, etc.

Cripple became Handicapped
Handicapped became differently abled.


STOP ALLOWING THE B.S.-CRATS to destroy the English language as we know it.

And they wonder why American kids can't read or write like the rest of the world..
