With recent vocal opponents of homeschooling in this category, I just have to ask to try to better understand the thinking behind it:
Why is it that governments, who decide the laws about schools of all kinds and even develop and approve of some online programs, would allow homeschooling and online programs if there were any proof that by doing so you'd have a 'hermit' or otherwise unproductive member of society? (And if you say that it's because they're stupid or something, remember, these are the same people who decide what goes on in public schools, too.)
