It means having 2 equal sides, such as an isosceles triangle; 2 side of the triangle are the same.

isosceles is a triangle with 2 equal sides. also, the angles formed by the two sides and the base of the triangle are also equal

isosceles is where two legs (typically of a triangle) are identical lengths. There are also isosceles trapezoids, fyi.
