Just a rough total would be nice. I need it for a high school research paper. A website for citations would make me very grateful

More than it should, considering it was never enacted. Yes, the law was passed, but with the exception of a few states, nothing has gone into practice. Meanwhile, states are collecting funds in taxes to supposedly pay for it.

Talk to your legislature!!!

It's taking quite a moral toll as many teachers seem to think it means "No Child Behind Left".

Why don't you actually do the research yourself...I could say it's costing us $1.48 Million from www.nochildleftbehind.org and you wouldn't know if I just made it up or not...but I bet your professor would!
