take lots of practice tests...one young man took about 15 practice tests and made a perfect score...that won't happen for everyone but it won't hurt

Don't worry about it. Skip the ACT and the SAT. Have fun while your friends are stressing out. After you graduate, go to a local community college for 2 years. And then transfer anywhere you want to go. It's a lot easier to get into the college of your choice as an upperclassman, you don't need test scores with 2 years of college under your belt, and you NEVER have to live in a freshman dorm. It a little known secret to success.

I am in college now, and I was in the same place as you 4 years ago. I took a practice one in school and i did really bad in it. . . i signed up for the princeton review (a course that teaches u different strategies), and it raised my score 6 pts. Some of my friends took this class too and got pretty much the same results. I think it is kinda expensive but it is soooooo worth the money!!
