To completely answer this question, I think I would run out of room, however, there is still hope. Consult http://www.mathleague.com/help/geometry/polygons.htm. The website has a complete description and analysis of every polygon you could ever imagine.

Please narrow down the question and fix your spelling if you want serious answers. I don't think your assignment is to write everything there is to know about all those shapes. Each of these is a closed polygon. How about some two-word answers: 4 sided, 5 sided, 6 sided, and 8 sided.

bee honeycombs are perfect hexagons.
stop signs are octagons.
the Pentagon is a big building in Virginia, near washington D.C. that is home to our war machine. Of course, it's shaped like a pentagon.
all rectangles are parallelograms, but not all parallelograms are rectangles.
The state of tennessee kinda looks like a parallelogram.

I agree with the first answer. There is a lot about those shapes. www.mathdictionary.com can help if you want to include the definitions. Good luck!
