I know peer pressure is the top reason why. But if teens were strong enough in their head to know not to have sex, then why do they do it anyways?????????? That's what I don't understand.

I think that often times they give in to be a part of the crowd and then after they do they realize what a mistake they have made.

I suppose it is peer pressure - but I think more of it because girls want to feel a connection and boys want the notch in the belt.
I am married with children and I have to say that waiting is well worth it!

Compare it to smoking. Why oh WHY does smoking keep perpetuating itself in generation after generation? Peer pressure and it feels good.
Some people take pride in being a virgin, but most people consider them to be losers. Mostly with guys. So they push the subject and some girls give in.

I didn't because that is what I decided.
Not every highschool graduate has lost their virginity.
But also, losing your virginity doesn't always mean you can't get your goal.
